The place is in the plaza near Vaughan Mills. While not the easiest spot to locate, the interior space was a pleasant surprise from the moment I opened the weighty wooden door. ✨

Lobster Tacos 🌮: They didn't skimp on the lobster here; sizeable chunks nestled within deep-fried taco shells. The mayo-aioli sauce provided a flavorful kick, while the greens offered a refreshing touch.

Strawberry Pancakes 🥞: Light and fluffy, topped with fresh strawberries. The drizzle of strawberry jam added a touch of additional sweetness.

Wagyu Steak & Eggs 🥩: The beef was medium rare and the colour was beautiful, with just the right amount of fat that didn't leave the steak overly greasy. The scrambled eggs, though fluffy, were too buttery for my taste. But the honey-glazed diced potato fries were a nice surprise 🍟, although the dish overall leaned towards the oily side.

Chicken Karaage 🍗: Four generously sized chicken pieces, perfectly coated in a thin, crispy batter and didn't show any hint of greasiness. The chicken itself was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right - not overly salty. 👌

Service was great, attentive and accommodating. The bar area towards the kitchen side was a bit smoky, but it didn't detract much from what was overall a pleasant dining experience. 🍽️

It's my second visit to this steakhouse. This small but exquisite place resides in downtown Toronto. One of its co-owners previously operated Michael's on Simcoe so you get the idea of quality. Although the prices have risen, the overall dining experience remained exceptional.

The Seared Foie Gras was a standout. 🍲 The foie gras was perfectly seared, its richness complemented by the crispy French toast and the special sauce drizzled on the side. Each bite was a symphony of flavours, with the foie gras melting in your mouth and leaving its aromatic essence lingering on your palate. 😋

Moving on to the main course, the rabbit dish I had was incredibly tender, and the meat sauce added a perfect flavour enhancement. The meat itself was also well-marinated. 🍖

We tried the sautéed mushrooms for the side. The mushrooms were deep-fried and flavorful. 🍄

For dessert, the chocolate mousse was rich and creamy, a perfect wrap for our experience. 🍰 Needless to say, their drinks were tasty too. 🍹

Their service was also great. The staff was professional and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. Although be mindful of the price point as it's relatively much higher compared to other steakhouses. 💼

But overall, it was an exceptional dining experience. 🍽️

One of my favourite restaurant chains! With an extensive menu selection, consistently high food quality, a pleasant dining space, great service, and all at super affordable prices. Some items on the menu are pretty innovative as well.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀: Ordered this for its creativity. Surprisingly tasty, especially with the sweet CRH sauce. A great way to make the most of beef surplus. 🥩

𝗖𝗮𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱: It's easy to make a Caesar salad, but not so easy to make it good. 🥗 The buttered & toasted pita bread and juicy chicken strips set their salad apart from the ordinary ones.

𝗞𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲: I can confidently say, this will become a popular dessert sooner or later. 🍨 Three scoops of mocha ice cream covered in caramel and chocolate syrup, drizzled with toasted almonds and Oreo cookie crumbles 🍪 - so yummy! In the future, when it becomes popular, you can come back and see my prediction at this exact time. 🤓

There are a lot of drink options on the menu too; beer and cocktails are of pretty good quality.

The service was great, attentive and timely. The place was spacious too, making it a good spot for all occasions.

Came across this place on Gerrard E and was attracted by its purple lights. 🟣 The interior had quite an exotic style, with an Indian god sculpture on the counter, a mural that occupies the whole wall,🎨 lights and chandeliers... A very unique dining place.✨

The food was amazing. Most of the items on the menu were traditional Indian snacks and dishes.🍛 The 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗮 was well-grilled and seasoned, even tastier with the dipping sauce. The 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗱 was yum too. 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶 was so good and a huge quantity, beautiful coloured rice mixed with a generous portion of chicken.🍗 Drinks were good too; some are Indian brands that aren't commonly supplied in Canada.

Service was nice; staff was friendly and polite. They could also leverage the outside patio and set up a heated dining area during winter.❄️

Another hidden gem in North York 💎A narrow row of stairs takes you to a spacious underground space with dimmed lights, adding a touch of mystery and intimacy. ✨

The overall style is rustic and industrial, with a classic bar area, a romantic dining section, and a performance space where live music performances take place every evening with a small admission fee. 🎟️

The place serves as a bar, lounge, snack bar, and restaurant. It offers a full menu, including apps, mains, and a good drinks selection. Both Guac & Salsa and Tacos we ordered were yum, and the drinks were well made. 🍸

Prices were reasonable, and the service was great too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a chilled place for a night out. 🍷

It's a tiny yet homey restaurant, and it seems to be popular for takeout too. 🍱

𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 🍟 - French fries but much tastier with the honey garlic sauce.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶 🌶️ - I think that's what we had; chicken chunks with a special sauce.

They have so many varieties of momos - it's like the Tibetan version of sautéed Chinese soup buns, but you can go for fried ones too. 🥟 I think we had the 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗼 and 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗼. One was with a yellow creamy sauce, and the other was with a darker-coloured sauce. Both were delicious.

Their 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 was yummy too. 🍚

The service was at a typical diner level; the staff tried their best while being busy with takeout orders to accommodate our needs. The place could have been way better if it was cleaner and more spacious (I almost slipped while coming in), 🧹 but the food was great, so I'm not complaining.

This is an authentic Xinjiang cuisine place that serves great halal food with generous portions. 🥢

The 𝗫𝗶𝗻𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗕𝗤 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯 𝗞𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗯 was amazing. 🍢 Very Xinjiang style, the meat flavour was brought out by the lamb oil and got further elevated by the smokiness from the griller, with the chili powder drizzled on top... A must-try. And not exaggerating, you'll see in this place almost every table has ordered this same dish. 🔥

The 𝗕𝗕𝗤 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 were yummy too. 😋

𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝗮𝗻 - A different way of cooking lamb but very flavourful. 🍖 Highly recommend letting the naan pieces fully soak into the gravy.

The place was clean and spacious, and the service was great. 🛎 The staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely revisit.

Second time dining at Nome after 5 years. 😄 This time, I opted for the second-floor patio, which was quite clean and cozy. 🌆

Spicy Poke - The salmon was fresh, mixed with beans, cucumber, radish, and onion. The sweet sesame dressing really added a nice flavour to it. 🥢

Baked Oysters - I was upset when it disappeared from Kinka’s menu, but was pleasantly surprised to see it here. Cheese and garlic butter are the perfect combo. 🧀 The breadcrumbs on top added a satisfying crunchiness. The oyster’s taste was still standout and fresh. 🦪

Japa Burgers - The staff recommended we order them, and I’m glad we did. The beef patty was substantial, and the tomato slice and lettuce added a touch of freshness. 🥬 The burger sauce was definitely what made the sliders so tasty. 🍔

They have a diverse selection of drinks. The Blue Samurai was tasty, although it looked more green to me, and the pineapple was quite sour.🍹

The service was excellent. All three staff members we interacted with were knowledgeable and friendly.

What’s better than starting off the weekend with a cozy dim sum brunch? ☀️ I had mine at Crown Prince Fine Dining & Banquet.

Tried a few dim sum items. The 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙪𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙙 & 𝙀𝙜𝙜 𝙔𝙤𝙡𝙠 was still my go-to choice here. Not only did the egg yolk add a pinch of saltiness to the custard, enriching the flavour, but the filling was abundant. It was so satisfying just looking at the filling pop right out of the bun when splitting it.

𝙃𝙖𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙬 (Steamed Shrimp Dumplings) and 𝙎𝙞𝙪 𝙈𝙖𝙞 (Seafood & Pork Dumplings) were great too. 🦐 There was a generous amount of meat in each of the items. 🥟

The 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝘽𝙌 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙡 had a lot of pork inside, wrapped with a thin and soft rice sheet. 🍖 The sauce was the cherry on the cake.

𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙩 were good too; the chicken feet were jellied and tasted sweet. It would be even nicer if they were less greasy. 🍗

We also tried the 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧 𝙎𝙞𝙪 (BBQ Pork) plate. 🥩 The pork was well-roasted, paired with sweet beans on the side. I highly recommend ordering this separate dish. 🍽

The place was spacious, well-suited for wedding receptions. 🏰 The interior was adorned with royal-style decor, delicate dishware indicating a Hong Kong-British style. 🫖

Service was a bit better than other Cantonese restaurants. One thing a bit disappointing was that they never got back to me about my lost cap 🧢 - I left it on the seat but they claimed they never found it. 😕

Passed by Mado on Yonge several times, was wondering what kind of place it was. Finally got time to visit here with friends, but the experience was so-so. 🤔

It's a cafe restaurant that serves both pastries and main. Food was OK. 𝘽𝙖𝙠𝙡𝙖𝙫𝙖 was yum, crispy on the top and had some sort of paste inside, though not a lot of nuts. My friend had the 𝘾𝙤𝙯𝙮 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩 and she didn't seem to be very impressed. 𝙆𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙝 looked nice and was a big portion too. The 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 I had was on par. ☕

The decor had that mid-century style design ✨, but somehow it felt like this place was not recently opened; the interior design was nice but not well maintained.

Lastly, I have to say something about their service. 🛎️ The staff definitely need more training. The young man who hosted us seemed quite confused when we were asking for the bill. When a table asks for the bill, it usually means that they are ready to leave. The young man acknowledged our needs, then turned away and started arranging cups...?? We asked three times, and he finally showed up when I told another staff member that we'd like to skip out on the bill since we were invisible anyway. 🤔

A bit of a disappointing dining experience. 😕

As one of my favourite sushi spots in town, I chose Miku for my birthday celebration this year, and it was a truly delightful experience. 🎉

Starting with the 𝙎𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙞 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩, the pieces were fresh and beautifully presented on a wooden tray alongside three delightful side dishes - maple glazed salmon, marinated seaweed, and pickled ginger. The glazed salmon, in particular, stood out for its rich and flavourful taste. 🍱

The 𝙈𝙞𝙠𝙪 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 and 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝙨𝙝𝙞 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙞 were just as delectable as I remembered. 🍣 The aburi pieces, though slightly on the oily side, gained a tasty char after being torched. 🔥

The 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙏𝙚𝙖 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖 was a symphony of flavours. 🍰🍵 The green tea cake base layered with dark chocolate ganache and matcha cream, accompanied by green tea wafers, matcha ice cream, and an assortment of strawberries and blueberries - a truly enriching experience. The added chocolate tag for my birthday was a delightful bonus.

Our main server was great - knowledgeable and attentive. But the girl who brought us our dishes seemed a bit irritated, as if she'd rather not be on duty. Nevertheless, it didn't overshadow the overall delightful dining experience. ✨

The decor was vintage, giving off a private lounge vibe, and it's only open on Fridays and Saturdays.

The place isn’t noisy at all, which is great for intimate conversations and just relaxing. If you're looking for a secret cozy spot around Yonge-Eglinton, this is the spot.

It's a one-stop lively shop for groceries, cafes, and dining. The desserts here are irresistible - Tiramisu and Fruit Tart were absolutely divine. They also have some incredible chocolate varieties too. 🍰🍫

Their coffee machine is a vintage gem, and the black coffee tastes wonderfully rich. 👌

Everything looks so incredibly fresh there, and there's such a wide variety of things to choose from. I could even spend my whole day here eating, shopping, and chilling. 🍽️🛍️

First time at Minami thanks to @liciousto 🌻 First of all, I have to say that their décor was super cool! 🎨 It was the perfect blend of elegance and modernity, with delightful Japanese elements. 🇯🇵 Really liked the high ceiling artwork designs in the dining and bar areas. 🍸

Secondly, the food. Their #summerlicious menu was well designed. 🍽️

For the appetizers, we tried the 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙍𝙞𝙗 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙤 and 𝙊𝙗𝙞𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙧. The Carpaccio had a delightful flavour with yuzu sauce on top. 🍋 The Braiser was well cooked, tender but a bit cold.

Went for the 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙞 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 as the main dish, with 2 pieces of Nigiri, Rolls, and Oshi each. The Rice-Fish ratio was good, rice was a bit firm but seasoned well. 🍣

The desserts were simply fantastic. Both the 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙠𝙚 and 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝘾𝙧è𝙢𝙚 𝘽𝙧û𝙡é𝙚 were rich and flavourful. 🍮

Also, amazing service. Our waitress was super nice, very patient, and kept refilling our water. 👍

Returning to Japango after five years, I was delighted to find that their 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙞 was just as exceptional as I remembered. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, practically melting in the mouth, and the rice was expertly seasoned, complemented by what seemed like marinated mushrooms - a testament to the beauty of simplicity.

The 𝙅𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙡 and 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙨 were equally delightful, showcasing a wonderful harmony of freshness and flavour.

Despite the culinary brilliance, the physical space remains a tad snug. We found ourselves perched at a corner table, slightly wobbly, which was the only minor hiccup in an otherwise delightful dining experience. 🍣 🍱

It's a rare feat for a restaurant to maintain such consistent food quality over half a decade, a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence. 🌟

Ventured in for the much-hyped lobster roll, and it certainly lived up to its reputation! 🦞

The lobster meat was exceptionally fresh, with the sauce serving as a delightful complement without overpowering the natural flavours. The bun, thin and warm, carried a pleasant hint of crispiness on the exterior. While it may lean towards the pricier side for street food, the experience is absolutely worth indulging in. 🌟

I first tried their 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙪𝙠𝙖 at Cafe Landwer's University Ave location a few years back. 🍳 This time, I tried the𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧'𝙨 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩. It was not only healthy but also delicious, with a portion so generous that I could only manage to finish half of the pita bread. 🥙

The 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 was a charming touch, presented in a very cute copper pot, adding to the overall experience.

Moving on to my most recent visit, I savoured the 𝙎𝙖𝙗𝙗𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝘽𝙤𝙬𝙡, a medley of roasted eggplant and potatoes crowned with a poached egg, beautifully decorated with drizzles of tahini and olive oil. The seasoned pita sticks on the side were a nice touch. 🥗 The 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙖 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 my friend had also looked enticing.

Their plates have always been on the generous side. Even though I purposely went for "Small Plates" this time to avoid food waste, the quantity was still quite substantial.

However, it's worth noting that the service was slow. In both recent visits, they seemed to be short-staffed, and their waitresses always seemed to be exhausted. 🏃‍♀️

Despite this, the consistency in both quality and portion size earns them high marks across the board.

Had my first sushi meal in Vancouver! 🍣 Miku is one of my favourite sushi spots in Toronto, so I thought it would be interesting to try it at its original location in Vancouver.

It met my expectations, but didn't exceed them. It turned out to be pretty much the same quality as the Toronto location, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in terms of quality control.

The 𝙨𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙞 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 was wonderfully fresh. 🐟 Service was also very pleasant. 😊
